Hi my name is Amanda Diaz. I am the Seventh Grade History and Social Science teacher at Rogers Ranch School. I am super excited for the 2022/23 school year! Here are some fun facts about me! My bachelor’s degree is in Social Studies Education Grades 7-12. I obtained my degree at Buffalo State College, located in New York.
One of my favorite hobbies is traveling. There is nothing I love more than sharing my travel experiences with my students. I am married with two dogs and three cats! It is a full house! I have been teaching at Rogers Ranch for four years now.
Over the past few years I’ve had visitors from NASA join our class as well as a prestigious architect. We have gone on trips to view the theater performance of the Diary of Anne Frank. Lastly, I would like to take a moment to share the reason I teach.
I became a teacher to ensure all my students are motivated and developing their own dreams. To understand there is an entire world to explore and the dreams they have at this very moment will go even further. That very dream can become a reality they never thought was possible! I want them to leave my room feeling confident and feeling like they have a purpose. To understand they are the future and they can make the change. With hard work and dedication the sky is NOT the limit!
There is something we do in my room every chance we get. If there is a time someone can make a change, for example a law or a view point I ask them who can make that change and they all say ME!
