Wow!!! We have completed our First Quarter. We have accomplished a lot and still have many more standards and skills to learn and master. This quarter we worked on Standard RL6.3 (Plot, Characterization, and Conflict) and RL6.2 (Theme). Although some of us have not mastered the standards, there will be plenty of opportunities to practice. We are also working on structural writing such as Argumentative and Informative writing.

For the upcoming quarter, we will be working with non-fiction text and standards. We will be studying standard RI6.6 (Narrator and Point of View), RI6.2 (Central Idea, Mood, and Tone), RI6.1 (Cite Textual Evidence), and  RI6.5 (Text Aids and Features). We will continue to work on structural writing such as Argumentative, Informative, Journal Entry, and Reflective Entry.
