Teacher Bio

Hello,

My name is Blake Ruiz and I am your child’s 8th grade math teacher. This is my tenth year teaching at Desert Meadows and my 18th year overall. I love teaching math and get great satisfaction from helping students improve their math skills. I am a Southern California native but have lived in Arizona for the past 21 years. I am married and have a 23 year old daughter who is about to graduate nursing school at the University of Arizona. In my spare time, I enjoy watching sports (Go Dodgers!), cooking, reading, listening to music, hiking, and spending time with my family.
