Teacher Bio

Welcome back to the start of another exciting school year at Desert Meadows!  My name is Carol Scott and I am the 7th/8th grade special education teacher. I am looking forward to working with your child to ensure a successful year for all of us!

I wanted to share with you some background information about myself as we kick off the beginning of a new year of academic endeavors!  I am originally from Fox Lake in Illinois, about 50 miles north of Chicago. I moved to Arizona in 2006, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Special and Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. I taught 5th – 8th grade Special Education Resource at Desert Meadows for 5 years and 2 years working with our students in the self-contained CCB environment.

I thank you all in advance for the tremendous role that you play in supporting your child’s education!  It is my goal to keep in close contact with you throughout the year to ensure that we are reaching your child’s goals together. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have.  I look forward to being in touch with you on a frequent basis!

I am confident that this is going to be a successful year where your child will be challenged to grow academically and socially!  I look forward to meeting each of you and getting to know each of my students on an individual basis!
