Teacher Bio

My story is seldom told.  It is a story of twists, turns and unexpectedness.  Believe it at your own risk.

My early years were largely unknown to me, including to whom I was born and where.  I have vague memories of my wolf family that raised me until about the age of two.  There was Fang, Fang 2, and the other (“Happy”) Fang that taught me to crawl, walk on all fours and hunt for my food.  I remember being very cold most of the time outside of time in the den.  Apparently I was then raised by the state (wherever that was) and was fostered a number of years by the Kent family of Smallville, along with my stepbrother Clark.  I was then transferred to the wardship of millionaire Bruce Wayne, living in the opulence of Wayne Manor for my formative years.  During a high school class trip to the Science Center I was bitten by a radioactive spider that gave me strange powers.  I was also involved in an atomic weapons experiment where I saved another student’s life but was exposed to vast amounts of radiation, which caused certain, er, hulkiness, at times.

I attended Yale (go, Bulldogs!) and rowed for the their crew team, taking first place in the Poughkeepsie (NY) regatta.  We qualified for the Olympics but I was unable to compete due to my prior commitments to Doctors Without Borders in Yugoslavia. While in Yugoslavia, I heard a story of a baby, stolen from his parents, the King and Queen of Spotsylvania, in the night by wolves.  The story always intrigued me and I sometimes feel that I have some connection to it…I just can’t put my finger on what part I play.

After Yale I backpacked for a year through Newark, NJ.  My friends all said “Newark?  Why not Europe?  Or Asia? Also, a year in Newark? What are you thinking?”  I’ll tell you what I was thinking…another time.

I happened into a job interview in Laveen after getting lost coming off the freeway on my way back from my pole to pole expedition.  Twelve years later, here I am, a happy Preschool teacher.  Sometimes, though, I wonder who that child was that was taken in the night. I also wonder why I sometimes scratch behind my ear with my foot.  Probably I’ll never know.
