Teacher Bio

Hi! My name is Kaitlin Long and I teach sixth grade ELA. This will be my seventh year teaching at Cheatham Elementary School.  I grew up in Charleston, Illinois where I received my Bachelors of Science in Education at Eastern Illinois University. I moved to Arizona 11 years ago to pursue my career in education. I previously lived in Yuma, Arizona where I taught 5th grade for two years and 6th grade Social Studies for two years. In the fall of 2018 I received my Masters in Administration at Grand Canyon University.  I love to read books, go to Cubs games, and travel. I also love to spend time with my fiance and my dog Teddy.
