Classroom Updates

Hello Families of Room 22,

I am looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces on Monday morning August 7th. If you are returning to our classroom our morning routine will look very similar to that of last year. However many of you are new to Trailside Point this school year so here are some updates on pick up and drop off procedures. Our class will meet in the mornings at the bus bay which is located on the side of the school building. If you are dropping off your student each morning that is where you will meet us. As the students arrive or get off the bus they will wait in line until both buses have arrived. Any parents dropping off students can meet us there, once both buses have arrived we will proceed into the classroom for breakfast. If you arrive and we have already come inside please proceed to classroom 22 located through the doors to the right when entering the bus bay gate, follow the hallway around until you pass the bathrooms. Our classroom is the first door on the left. If you are dropping students off plan to arrive around 7:10 as that is when teachers will be coming outside to meet the buses/children being dropped off. Please make sure that if students are dropped off that they are not left in the bus bay unattended, please wait with your child until teachers have arrived. Our start time this year is still 7:15, students will have breakfast in the classroom upon arrival. Our pick up time is at 2:15. If your student takes the bus, transportation should be contacting you with pick up and drop off times. If your child is parent pick up, your child will meet you at the bus bay gate at 2:15. Parents please be aware that students will be waiting outside and during these summer months it will be hot so please try your best to be at school at or before 2:15. You must come all the way to the gate as we must release students physically to a parent/guardian, students are not to cross into the parking lot unattended.

I am very excited to start a new year and I already have many fun learning experiences planned for your students.

Monday, September, 12th is fall picture day. The students will have a free dress “up” day on Monday.

If you would like to order pictures please return the order form and money to Ms. V on picture day.

Please see the Parent/Teacher Conference note that was sent home in your students folder. I will be assigning conferences on a first come first serve basis so please return that note as soon as possible with at least 3 options that work for you. The school has half days on Thursday, January 14th and Friday, January 15th. The students will be done at 11:00 please make arrangements for your student.

There is no school on Monday January 18th.
