Classroom Updates

Hello first grade familes!  Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!  Please read the following in regards to the first day of school.

Parents may pick up their child’s chromebook and school supplies Thursday, July 30 from 8-3 & 5-7 or Friday, July 31 from 8-noon at Rogers Ranch Parent Pick up area.  You should recieve a phone call/email informing you that I am your teacher.  In your supply package you recieved codes for Google Classroom.  Please join those classes before Monday. On Monday, August 3rd, parents may log on to Google Classroom (Spalding) and join google meets at 8:30am for a brief parent orientation.  If you are unable to attend, the video will be posted for you to view!

 

Our daily schedule beginning Wednesday, August 5 will be as follows:

8:30 Morning Message

8:40: Spalding

10:10 ELA (Reading/Writing/Social Studies)

12:10 Small group support

1:00 Specials

2:00 Math

Although we are starting school in an untraditional way, I am so excited to meet you all and be your teacher this year!  Together we can make this a fantastic year! Please do not hesitate to email me!  See you all soon!

Hello families! 

 

As you all know schools in Arizona are currently closed.  During this time I am still at work and developing ways with the first grade team to help with continued learning from home.  Your child’s education is very important to me and I am willing to assist in any way I can. I am going to be utilizing my Google Classroom for your child to access content.  This is not required, but I wanted you to have the ability to continue learning from home. I will post free websites for your child to access as well as educational resources that they are already familiar using at school.  

 

I have bulleted information below in regards to website access/resources. 

 

• Students have online access at home using their username and password. 
  •  Please go to www.laveenschools.org 
  • Click the students tab
  • Log on using username and password.  Username must include @stu.laveeneld.org  (Usernames and passwords are case sensitive)
    • Your child knows their username and password, but I am happy to email it to you if they forget!
  • You will see curriculum websites.  McGraw Hill is our reading and math
  • Google Classroom can be accessed from the Students tab as well.
