Teacher Bio

Hello! My name is Ms. Theresa Dowling.  Just a little bit about me. I have been at Trailside Point since the school opened in 2007.  As a matter of fact, my original TSP class of fifth-graders has already graduated college! I have taught both fifth and sixth grade since I arrived at TSP.

I was born and raised in Chicago, and I am a first generation American.  Both my parents emigrated from Ireland and landed in Chicago.  Although I love Chicago, I have been in Arizona so long that I feel like a native.  My only problem is if the White Sox or Cubs play the Diamondbacks. I am a graduate of ASU – Go Sun Devils!

In fifth grade, we have teamed up, so I teach Math and Science to two classes while Ms. Saleh teaches English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies to the same two classes.

I am excited to be part of the Trailside Point community and look forward to an amazing year in fifth grade – in person!
